Mission & Vision
New Hope envisions a transformed community where individuals and families are safe, strong, self-sufficient, and experiencing God’s grace, where neighbors are reconciled racially, socially, and economically, and where people put aside their differences to work together to meet needs, affirm strengths, and develop leaders. Through the love of Christ, they build restorative relationships with individuals and families in our community, empowering them to move from crisis to self-sufficiency.
Current Project
During and after the Covid Pandemic, demand for New Hope’s services grew exponentially, especially their food bank. This family-focused ministry works to break the cycles of poverty through professional counseling, immigration clinics and assistance, ESL classes, youth programs, support groups and meal assistance. They needed more spaces and were able to acquire a second building just two doors down from the first.
In 2024 Servant’s Heart got to work completely renovating this second building with a new floorplan that offered space for offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, storage rooms, and an elevator for handicap access. The project includes all new framing, siding, roofing, mechanicals, electrical, and plumbing… even hardscape and landscaping. It’s a big job from top to bottom and we’re honored to play our part!
Looking Back: An Ongoing Partnership
Our partnership with New Hope began in 2018. Back then their growing ministry demanded a functional commercial space to facility their many programs. After 9 months, totaling in 42 volunteer Saturdays, Servant’s Heart transformed their 1,500 sq.ft., 2-floor, residential home into a 3,500 sq.ft., commercial headquarters, including the addition of a third floor and newly functional basement. This renovation allowed for counseling rooms, a streamlined food pantry, and space for their growing teen program.
